Track notes

A melody popped into my head this afternoon for a song I’ve titled ‘Thing Called Love’. I thought I’d share an unmixed outro idea I have for the track, given that I’ve not shared any new music in a long time, and given the outro’s unusual sound. I hope you enjoy this little bit of musical strangeness!

I’ve only shared a rough unmixed arrangement of the outro here, but I recorded other vocals today too. Whilst the complete track is not yet online, its complete lyrics are below.

Lyrics for complete version of ‘Thing Called Love’ (not online on 22/02/22, when this post was published)

CHORUS
Everybody wants to know
Everybody wants to know
Everybody wants to know
About this thing called love

Everybody wants to know
Everybody wants to know
Everybody wants to know
About this thing called love

VERSE
Is it something real?
Am I good enough?
Is it just a trick
That Nature’s dreamed up?

Can you truly live
If you’ve not felt it?
Can you live for art
When no one seeks your heart?

CHORUS
Everybody wants to know
Everybody wants to know
Everybody wants to know
About this thing called love

Everybody wants to know
Everybody wants to know
Everybody wants to know
About this thing called love

OUTRO
Puccini and Verdi
Like to sing it to me
Turgenev and Tolstoy
Tell me it’s pain and joy
Faraday and Newton

Next I plan to share a YouTube Short music and music video combination for a track and video I created recently called ‘Happy’, and then another YouTube Short music and music video combination for another track and video I created recently called ‘Incessant Incident’, before I intend to return to my previous plans of completing my mix of ‘On The Street Where You Live’, and sharing its video, and then completing the short documentary I promised to make my dad about something of sentimental importance to him as he battles cancer, and then my tracks ‘Society’, ‘You’, and ‘The End’. And then a ton of other tracks. Wish me luck! This year I need to do better at getting through my backlog!
